Underground River

There is an 8.2-kilometer-long underground river as well as pristine forests, limestone formations, stalactites, and stalagmites.

Its dark past is evident in the tunnels and the remains of an old garrison. The Palawan Massacre took place in Plaza Cuartel. During World War II, 150 American prisoners of war were housed in the tunnels. However, on December 14, 1944, the Japanese made the decision to burn them all to death. Eleven prisoners managed to survive and avoid the mass execution while many others died.
